Privacy notice
This notice explains how RAZED uses account and learner information to provide personalised 11+ and GCSE practice.
1. Who controls the information
Razvan Rusu, trading as RAZED, is the controller of personal information used by this service. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to support@razed.uk. Additional trader contact information will be provided directly where legally required.
2. Information we collect
We collect the parent's, guardian's or tutor's email and authentication information; tutor business name if provided; the learner's first name, year group, exam type, target school if provided, and selected subjects; uploaded completed worksheets; generated feedback, scores and learning history; subscription records; support messages; and basic security and service-use events.
Please do not upload a child's surname, address, school records, medical information or other information that is not needed for worksheet feedback.
3. Why we use it
We use information to provide and personalise worksheets, assess completed work, show progress history, operate accounts and subscriptions, prevent misuse, answer support requests, improve reliability and meet legal duties. Our lawful bases include performing the service contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, legal obligations and consent where consent is specifically requested.
4. Children's information
Children under 16 normally work through a parent account. An under-16 student account remains restricted until a tutor invitation is accepted. Students aged 16 or over may create and control their own account. A tutor must have appropriate authority before adding a child. We apply high privacy settings by default, do not display public profiles, do not serve behavioural advertising and do not ask children to interact with an open-ended chatbot. Parents can ask the account owner or RAZED to access, correct or delete learner information.
5. Automated personalisation and assessment
Automated systems analyse completed work to prepare feedback and choose subsequent practice. This supports learning but does not produce an official examination result or a decision with legal or similarly significant effects. You may ask us to review or correct feedback that appears materially wrong.
6. Who receives information
We share information only with providers needed for hosting, file storage, authentication, payment, communications, security and automated worksheet processing. This currently includes a private Discord workspace used by an authorised reviewer to check proposed worksheets, submitted work and feedback before release. Access is restricted to authorised RAZED reviewers and the service bot. Providers must handle information only for agreed purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect a child or another person.
7. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards as required by UK data protection law.
8. Retention
Account and learning records are kept while the account is active. Operational review copies in Discord are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, check quality and resolve support issues, and are included when handling an applicable deletion request. Following account closure, we aim to delete worksheet files and child profile information within 90 days, except where a shorter period is requested and feasible or a longer period is required for legal, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes. Backups are removed on their normal secure rotation.
9. Security
We use access controls, private file storage, authenticated links, encrypted connections, monitoring and least-access practices. No internet service is risk free; email support@razed.uk if you suspect an account or file has been exposed.
10. Cookies and similar storage
RAZED uses essential browser storage and cookies for authentication, security and core preferences. We do not currently use non-essential advertising cookies. If that changes, we will provide appropriate information and choices before placing them.
11. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact support@razed.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
12. Changes
We will update this notice when our processing changes and will highlight material changes in the service or by email where appropriate.
13. Business outreach
We may record limited professional contact information about tutoring businesses from public business websites and official registers to assess a potential partnership. We record the source and whether the organisation is a company, sole trader or unverified. We do not cold email sole traders without consent. Business contacts may object or ask us to delete their details at any time by emailing support@razed.uk.
